Infinity Ward has announced that it has now banned over 70,000 cheaters in Call of Duty: Warzone. This is up from 50,000 banned earlier this month. “We’re continuing to deploy dedicated security updates and work continues on improving in-game reporting,” the developer wrote, adding that more details on the updated reporting tools will be revealed soon. The news comes as the number of public encounters with cheaters increases. Not a day goes by on the game’s official subreddit, for instance, without multiple posts showing blatant hackers, with some calling for console-only cross-play. Streamer Jack “CouRage” Dunlop even offered to pay Infinity Ward $10,000 to ban cheaters as he encounters them on stream. It’s not uncommon for the most visible Warzone players on Twitch and YouTube to run into cheaters, and many have even started boasting about beating them.
